For families outside Australia

A learning-support service for families outside Australia — not a school, not a curriculum.

ParkSyde is a curriculum and learning-support service for families of Prep through Year 6 learners outside Australia. A weekly plan, a pacing guide, and visible progress for the parent — running on an ordinary device and ordinary internet.

Developed by Australians and shaped by a director with more than 25 years’ experience across communities, education and allied health.

  • Age stages

Prep through Year 6 (foundation, early primary)

  • Where developed

Developed by Australians and shaped by a director with more than 25 years’ experience across communities, education and allied health.

  • Starting point

    A device + ordinary internet

  • What the parent sees

A weekly plan, a pacing guide, completed-lesson notes

The starting point is a free Foundation sample by email. From there the parent receives a weekly plan and a pacing guide tied to the learner’s year band — so the family’s week is shaped by an evidence-informed rhythm, not by an invoice.

Not a registered school. Not accreditable, not a recognised curriculum in any jurisdiction. Each family confirms its own local recognition — ParkSyde does not stand in for that process.

What the child actually does

The learning spine.

Three kinds of work, repeated calmly across the week. Reading and writing. Numeracy and problem solving. A weekly inquiry that ties them together.

Starting point

A device and the internet.

The starting point. A tablet or laptop and an ordinary household internet connection. No specialist hardware, no school-managed account. Where a household has unreliable connectivity, the team works with the family on a delivery shape that fits.

What the parent receives

A weekly rhythm the parent can actually read.

Each week the parent sees the same set of items in the same place. What to do first, then next, then third; what was completed; what carried forward.

The free Foundation sample

A short sample, before any decision.

The Foundation sample is a free, single-package slice of the Foundation pack. You read it on the couch, decide in your own time, and decide nothing for the family until you do. Consent is a single email — nothing shared with a third party.

One working day, by email. Reply-friendly — a real person reads your response.

  • ·A free sample of the Foundation pack — maths and English lessons for the Prep / Year 1 / Year 2 band you pick.
  • ·A pacing overview at your child's year band and a one-page home checklist.
  • ·Delivered by email within one working day. No subscription, no follow-up sequence, no cost.
  • ·Consent means a parent email, a year band, and a single email from the ParkSyde team. Nothing is shared with a third party and nothing is auto-enrolled.

Family onboarding

Five steps, written down before any fee.

The short path a family actually walks. Consent first, family profile second, first week plan, progress check, settled week. Each step ties to a real surface and a written record.

  1. 01

    Consent + Foundation sample.

A single email at the existing /learn/foundation-sample surface. One consent click, the matching sample emailed within one working day, no subscription.

    Start at consent

    Then — family profile.

  2. 02

    Family profile.

After the sample, the family intake form asks for the child's year band, language of instruction, device reality and any access needs. Drawn from the families who use the service, not from a marketing rubric.

    Open the family profile

    Then — the first-week plan.

  3. 03

    The first-week plan.

A weekly plan posted to the family dashboard: what to do first, what to do next, what to look at on Friday. Time windows, not fixed minutes.

Then — a progress check, in writing.

  4. 04

    A progress check, in writing.

At the end of week one the parent receives a short written note — what was completed, what carried forward, what to revisit. The same shape at the end of week four.

    Then — settled week.

  5. 05

    Settled week.

By week five the weekly rhythm is in place. The pacing guide, the parent note, and the completed-lesson log are the same furniture the family uses for the rest of the term.

Progress visibility

What the parent sees by the end of each week.

ParkSyde does not claim outcome percentages. What the parent DOES see, in plain terms, at the end of week one and again at the end of week four.

End of week 1

The first week’s rhythm.

  • ·The learner's first week's plan — what was attempted, what was completed.
  • ·A short end-of-week parent note from the ParkSyde team.
  • ·The pacing guide and home checklist delivered with the sample.
  • ·A completed-lesson log visible on the family dashboard.

End of week 4

A weekly rhythm in place.

  • ·A steady weekly plan making the same landing each week, with the pacing guide updated to the learner's pace.
  • ·A written mid-point reflection — what held, what needed rewording, what to retire.
  • ·Visible progress across reading, numeracy and the weekly inquiry question.
  • ·A short weekly note the parent can read in under two minutes.

Important

What ParkSyde is, and what it is not.

  • ·ParkSyde is not a school. ParkSyde is not accreditable, and is not a recognised curriculum in any jurisdiction.
  • ·ParkSyde is not a tutor. The service does not provide live one-on-one instruction, daily check-ins, or graded homework — it provides a weekly plan and parent-facing notes.
  • ·ParkSyde does not stand in for a classroom teacher where one exists. Where your learner attends a registered school locally, the school's curriculum, assessment and safeguarding remain primary.
  • ·ParkSyde will not claim recognition, accreditation or approval from any authority until that authority has independently confirmed it. Registration and recognition are the family's matter and the local authority's matter — never ParkSyde's.
  • ·Any outcomes or learning evidence are local to the family that ran them. ParkSyde does not aggregate family outcomes into worldwide claims of effectiveness.

Parent questions

Plain answers, with the caveat in the answer.

What a parent usually asks first: language of instruction, devices, when and how to pay, time-zone fit, accessibility, parent-guide availability, what the team does NOT provide, and the regulatory line drawn explicitly.

For parents to walk through

Curriculum unit

Ten lessons, each with a materials line, an explicit-teaching beat, a guided-practice round, and a single choice task. The unit holds one unchanged success standard across build, draw, film, and write routes, and the placement hook on every lesson points at the maths strand — number, measurement, reasoning, geometry, or statistics — so you can match it to whatever your child's school or community expects.

The unit does not pick a curriculum code for you. Instead, the record field on each lesson is a free-text space where you paste whatever your jurisdiction, co-op, or school uses — ParkSyde is the support service, not the registering institution.

  • One standard across all four choice routes
  • Worked examples with reteach moves for every wrong answer
  • Family-typed curriculum code, not ours
